Independent recognition
The Tazzer Group Awards were set up in 2023 by a small group of facilities professionals who were tired of seeing great work go unnoticed. We saw too many awards that were effectively bought, or that only celebrated the big names. So we decided to do something different.
Our programme is independent, free to enter and judged purely on the evidence. We do not accept sponsorship from any company that could influence the results. We do not sell tickets to an expensive black-tie dinner. We simply review the entries and pick the best, then publish the results so the work gets the attention it deserves.
The name 'Tazzer Group' comes from the founding team's family nickname for a beloved old workshop cat, a creature of quiet diligence and unfailing reliability. It sums up the spirit of the people we want to celebrate.
We run the awards as a not-for-profit initiative. Our costs are covered by a small contribution from the founding team, and we plan to keep it that way. We are not in this for the money, we are in it for the recognition.
